Hi all, I'm seeing here: https://github.com/apache/arrow/issues/45937#issuecomment-5112253045 that @wgtmac is considering this PR abandoned in favor of https://github.com/apache/arrow/pull/50252. I think it makes sense given that he had been assigned first and I started working on it under the assumption that it was abandoned abandoned after a period of no PR. I should've confirmed with @wgtmac the status of the PR prior to starting work on it.
