@zeroshade I'd like to take this if it's still available. @ennuite mentioned they'd try to pick it up after https://github.com/apache/arrow-go/pull/732. Now that #732 is merged, is it alright for me to work through the steps here (pin the protobuf toolchain, document generation, and add the generate-and-diff CI check)?
