@alamb, since the existing 2× `need_gc` policy for ByteView coalescing is directly relevant here, would you have a view on whether this should also apply after sparse `filter` / `take` results? @tustvold, I would also appreciate your perspective on the IPC boundary: should encoding `Utf8View` / `BinaryView` compact unreferenced variadic-buffer payloads by default, or should that remain an explicit caller choice? -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
