This issue is a few years old and was never answered after the JIRA migration, but since it's likely to turn up in searches, here's the current state of ppc64le support for anyone landing here. PyArrow does support linux-ppc64le, but only via conda-forge, which cross-compiles the package for every release (see the `linux_ppc64le` entries in the `pyarrow-feedstock` config); builds exist for every recent version, including 25.0.0. There are no ppc64le wheels on PyPI, so `pip install pyarrow` on that platform tries to build from source and needs a matching Arrow C++ installed first. The `Incompatible with system CUDA Driver` error in the original report is conda selecting a CUDA-enabled build variant that the driver couldn't satisfy, not a ppc64le issue. Closing this as answered; if `conda install -c conda-forge pyarrow` fails on a current release, please open a new issue with a reprex. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
