### Is your feature request related to a problem or challenge? Decimal parsing currently rounds half away from zero. Applications may need other rounding modes, such as half to even or truncation toward zero. Configurable rounding was a stretch goal in #5068. Its other requests—parser consolidation, scientific notation, and consistent default rounding—were addressed by #10850. ### Describe the solution you'd like Allow callers to select a rounding mode while preserving the current default. Consider consistent support across string-to-decimal parsing and casts, float-to-decimal casts, decimal casts that reduce scale, and CSV/JSON decimal parsing. Precision validation should apply after rounding. `CastOptions` could expose the mode for cast kernels; standalone parsing and reader APIs would also need a way to select it. ### Additional context This issue tracks the remaining configurable-rounding request from #5068, following the parser consolidation in #10850. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
