Merged `main` up and resolved the conflicts — the temporal additions (DST resolution) stay in `mod.rs` on this branch since only the binary/byte-view helpers were extracted; upstream's `cast_numeric_to_binary` matches the copy in the `binary` submodule. `cargo test -p arrow-cast` (417 tests), clippy and fmt are clean. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
