I also added regression coverage for this case in both dense and sparse union modes While auditing the other union null-introduction paths, I found that the existing `take` implementation already follows the same nullability rule. I also found another first-child fallback in the variant-to-union conversion path and updated it to select a nullable child or return an error when none is available -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
