DF bench is using mimalloc by default -- https://github.com/apache/datafusion/blob/55b2f093bb80780b8ce253873ff816cc4740fbe2/benchmarks/Cargo.toml#L38 -- should try it as well? I've been seeing issues with benchmark reliability/flakiness all over the place and been looking to file an issue to track it.
