The merge keeps the direct unsigned-magnitude `i256` to `f32` conversion and preserves the upstream `i256` to `f64` rounding fix. The five f32 regression groups and two upstream f64 groups pass on Rust 1.99.0. The arrow-buffer all-feature tests, doctests, release tests, downstream Decimal256 test, arrow-buffer Clippy checks, workspace formatting, pinned typos 1.37.0, and diff check also pass. These checks used main at `bfdcd26` and Rust 1.99.0. Newer main merges cleanly in a compatibility calculation, but its dependency lockfile has not been tested locally. Hosted CI and maintainer review remain pending. Codex used. Generated material: regression tests, and PR description.
