@etseidl @adriangb 33f65498b0a749d99899c9859beed52b1ec19018 adds the new `try_new` constructor as suggested, deprecates the existing one and schedules it for removal in `61.0.0`. I propose we merge this as-is since it doesn’t break existing users. I’ll open a separate PR for the actual API removal so we can apply the `api-change` label there.
