A more serious issue here is that a completely empty row group also seems to write a dictionary page, and no data pages. That leads to ´ColumnMetaData::data_page_offset == 0` (it is a required field) and `ColumnMetaData::dictionary_page_offset > 0`. I think many implementations start reading from the smaller of those two offsets, and so will try to parse the `PAR1` header as a data page. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
