I'm going through old Type: bug issues. The "FinalizeS3 was not called" warning and exit crash for programs that never used S3 should be gone since #36346 (13.0.0) fixed the finalization crash and #38375 (14.0.0) stopped pyarrow.fs initialising the AWS SDK on import, so I'm assuming this is fixed now.
