Looked a bit further, semi_persist_dir on dataflow VMs is backed by /var, which is typically used for various application data, transient and temporary files. @phoerious is it important in any way for your execution on Flink to create the venvs in the semi_persist_dir, as opposed to, say, `/opt/beam-venv/...` ?
