Option 2 looks tractable, based on https://pkg.go.dev/about#removing-a-package. In particular, where we file an issue asking for them to not request them. I don't beleive we can use the "retract" options because we didn't have modules until 2.33.0 (which is why the v2 is under the SDK directory.) Option 1 is bad, and would hurt users. Don't tell people "use the V1" when there's a V2 out. This is an incredibly bad experience and it cannot be considered. This would put as back into an "incompatble" state for user imports and that's an incredibly bad look. Another alternative is the docs in the 2.32 branch to point to the newer versions and tagging it with 2.32.1. This would update the pkg.go.dev page as a result, since the "latest" version in the pre-v2 series is what's displayed by default. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
