### What happened? I'm trying to write a coder for an unpicklable object, but when I register it with the coder registry, the direct runner seems to want to try to pickle it anyways. I've created an example in [beam playground](https://play.beam.apache.org/?sdk=python&shared=miCGyTAX3_F) Not sure if I'm just missing something trivial here ### Issue Priority Priority: 3 (minor) ### Issue Components - [X] Component: Python SDK - [ ] Component: Java SDK - [ ] Component: Go SDK - [ ] Component: Typescript SDK - [ ] Component: IO connector - [ ] Component: Beam YAML - [ ] Component: Beam examples - [ ] Component: Beam playground - [ ] Component: Beam katas - [ ] Component: Website - [ ] Component: Spark Runner - [ ] Component: Flink Runner - [ ] Component: Samza Runner - [ ] Component: Twister2 Runner - [ ] Component: Hazelcast Jet Runner - [ ] Component: Google Cloud Dataflow Runner -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
