I left a comment on the PR, but essentially, any pipeline using that provider is also using xlang, which requires runner_v2 on Dataflow. Any pipeline using runner_v2 cannot use the xlang ReadFromBigQuery with autosharding (which is set when `numShards == 0`), so I'm not sure how this would break any existing use-cases, unless it works and is used on other runners. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
