   ### What needs to happen?

The ASF Privacy Policy does not permit the use of _**Google Analytics**_ in
ASF websites[1]. PMCs were notified of this by the VP Data Privacy in April
2022:

The Beam website is currently using Google Analytics and I will shortly
create a PR request to remove it. The ASF hosts its own **_Matomo_** instance
to provide projects with analytics and you can request a tracking id for Beam
by sending a mail to privacy AT apache.org.

Please note that the ASF Infra team will be shortly be implementing a
_**Content Security Policy**_ that will block access to external trackers anyway

I also notice that you appear to be using Hotjar tracking and AFAIK that is
also not an approved external service provider and will probably also be
blocked once Infra implements the new policy. Please come and discuss this at
privacy AT apache.org if you want to make the case for it being approved.
