There are some work in progress, e.g. #36840 to better support java.time.Instant. However we may not sunset jodatime anytime soon as long as we can keep backward compatibility. Move this to Milestone 3 to track the status of this task by the time of Beam 3 candidate build, but won't block on Milestone 1 -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
