.take-issue Reproduced on current master 7ab792f471fdc19b4b9a7a31241dc2143777485c with the native Cython runner module on Windows/Python 3.12. Both BundleBasedDirectRunner and FnApiRunner pass the supplied side argument into the timestamp slot and the timestamp into the side-input slot for the reported all-default signature. The required-element control binds both correctly. I'll prepare a focused fix for the implicit element slot in `_get_arg_placeholders`, with regression coverage for default arguments, injected parameters, and the existing explicit ElementParam path.
