This looks fixed on current master. #25798 (merged 2023-03-14) added
`collections.abc.Iterable`, `Iterator` and `Generator` support to
`native_type_compatibility`. I ran the snippet from the description at
d8eb82acf2c (Python 3.13), importing `is_consistent_with` from
`apache_beam.typehints.typehints`. All three calls now print `True`, including
the third one, which used to raise `TypeError`:
```python
is_consistent_with(Iterable[str], Iterable[Any])
# True
is_consistent_with(collections.abc.Iterable[str], Iterable[Any])
# True
is_consistent_with(collections.abc.Iterable[str],
collections.abc.Iterable[Any]) # True
```
`typehints_test.py::test_normalize` also covers
`collections.abc.Iterable[str]`. Leaving this here in case it can be closed.
