@TheNeuralBit I had a quick look over what's currently available and my first feeling is that the `BeamSqlTable`/`TableProvider` hierarchy lacks any composability in terms of datasource/IO + data format (as orthogonal concerns). The Kafka implementation stands out as either the best maintained or following an entirely different pattern than the rest; or both.
