For the VR tests specifically what we want is to simulate the real execution use case. Users get the Beam module binaries compiled in Java 8 so we want to build them on Java 8 (because we publish those). Users run then their pipelines (in our case the VR tests) with their code on the specific Java versions they have. We don't publish Java 11 specific artifacts and we probably won't for some time. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
