I didn't do the code archaeology to determine _why_ we do it this way (thanks @ibzib!), I just figured it was an oversight at some point. Since SqlExpressionChecker is providing some value I'm fine with reverting this for now. @kennknowles would it make sense to file a jira to get the JDBC test coverage another way? -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
