I've been trying to dig more into this since right now we only have Python native transforms and planning to switch to xlang and the lack of documentation is a bummer. Not a lot of information regarding how to test you pipeline locally with DirectRunner and how to deploy your pipeline on Dataflow when having xlang transforms. Thanks.
