Whoever does the removal of legacy if he/she can't see this code is obsolete and should be removed I don't think he/she is the good pick for that task. It should be almost as obvious as the need to remove `ReadFromKafkaViaUnbounded` would be. So IMO this minimal cleanup as a JIRA task seems just unnecessary clutter/spam, and even an inline comment could be more than that should be necessary.
