## Which issue does this PR close? - Closes #20535 ## Rationale for this change The previous coding used the `null_string` value for row 1 as the value for the remainder of the rows. This is wrong if `null_string` is columnar. ## What changes are included in this PR? ## Are these changes tested? Yes; added new SLT test. ## Are there any user-facing changes?
