I ran some benchmarks (https://datafusion.apache.org/blog/2025/09/10/dynamic-filters/#hash-join-dynamic-filters) and this PR as it stands is a pretty large performance regression. I'm not confident shipping it. I also am still not sure if we're addressing the root cause or only workarounds / symptoms.
