Update: #4645 now also fixes item 6 (native `date_diff` switched to `wrapping_sub` to match Spark and avoid the debug-build overflow panic, with regression tests). Item 5 (Spark 4.0 `StringTypeWithCollation` gating) is carved out into #4646. With items 1 and 6 fixed, the date_format doc note corrected, items 2/3/4 obsolete, and item 5 tracked separately, #4645 closes this issue on merge. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
