The `hdfs` feature this issue refers to was the fs-hdfs based crate, which
#4904 (691e2ae94) removed. HDFS support is now the `hdfs-opendal` feature, and
it is in the default feature set of native/core (Cargo.toml `default =
["hdfs-opendal"]`), so the standard CI build and `cargo nextest run` compile
it, and `ParquetReadFromFakeHadoopFsSuite` from #2272, which is gated on
`isFeatureEnabled("hdfs-opendal")`, runs in the regular Java test job instead
of being skipped. Suggest closing.
