## Which issue does this PR close? Backport of #6447 to branch-1.1. Related to #6157 and #6385. ## Rationale for this change Comet must use Spark's floating-point comparison semantics for signed zero and NaN in every expression context. The original fix landed after 1.1.0 and is applicable to the 1.1 release branch. ## What changes are included in this PR? This adapts #6447 to the branch-1.1 code layout. It normalizes scalar and nested floating-point operands in native comparisons, preserves Parquet pruning behavior for scan data filters, keeps floating-point divisor normalization, and adds the applicable compatibility documentation, benchmarks, SQL fixtures, native tests, and reader tests. Post-1.1 float-extrema infrastructure and its contributor documentation are intentionally omitted because those APIs and features are not present on this branch. ## How are these changes tested? - `make core` - `cargo fmt --all` - 25 focused Rust tests covering nested comparisons, nested float normalization, scan-filter planning, and Parquet bloom filters - 7 focused Scala/SQL tests covering floating-point comparisons, NaN divisors, arithmetic, and native reader behavior - Maven Spotless checks - `git diff --cached --check` -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
