The `FUNCTION` item parsers of `ALTER OPERATOR FAMILY` and `CREATE OPERATOR CLASS` try `consume_token(LParen) && peek != RParen` and then `else if consume_token(LParen)`. The first condition already consumed the `(`, so the second branch never runs.
