I think since @adriangb filed the original ticket, perhaps he can weigh in here I agree if we can't find some representative benchmark that shows the extra complexity improves the performance, we should probably not merge this code I don't think a focused micro benchmark is enough -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
