With ANSI off, a finite double whose microsecond product does not fit in `i64` becomes NULL. Spark saturates. `CAST(CAST(d AS TIMESTAMP) AS LONG)` is `9223372036854` in Spark and NULL in Comet for `d` in `1e16`, `1e22`, and `9.3e12`, and `-9223372036855` versus NULL for `-1e16`. Spark nulls only NaN and infinities on this path. `f64 as i64` already saturates, so the legacy branch can return that value while TRY keeps returning NULL. This predates and is unchanged by #6969; found in review there. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
