Yes, I agree with this approach. Being able to effectively demonstrate a reduction in IO operations is important here, moreso than simply looking at query duration I think. Since remote object storage IO is heavily dependent on an individual user's situation (internet connection quality/speed, physical distance from the datacenter etc.) an increase in performance based strictly on query duration is potentially ambiguous. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
