Thanks @rluvaton this makes a lot of sense and should be done better. The good start was done by @andygrove in https://github.com/apache/datafusion-comet/issues/2019 for the Scala side of the execution. This makes sense for newcomers, their contributions or even AI generating the code. The similar refactoring needs to be done for the native `planner.rs` IMO.
