@sdf-jkl has a very nice API here - https://github.com/apache/datafusion/pull/19722 I think that we will then be able to optimize `date_part` and `date_trunc ` quite nicely @sdf-jkl is there any chance you can file individual tickets for the `date_part` and `date_trunc` optimizations?
