Hello Github! Not sure if this is the best place for this but here goes...
First up, great (seriously incredible) work on the site! I never thought I would become so obsessed with following coding projects but I really have! I recently even made my first ever open source contribution all thanks to Git and Github! The projects is at http://github.com/justinfrench/formtastic/tree/master if you fancy a look. Anyway, whilst working on my patch I got thinking about another feature which I though would be cool but I wanted to run it past the projects owner first (Justin French). I also wanted the discussion to be public incase anyone else wanted to pitch in so I created the following Wiki page: http://wiki.github.com/justinfrench/formtastic/possible-ideas Though this worked, it is what it is, a misuse of a tool Github already provides. I think the next logical step (of social code hosting) would be a place for contributors to discuss potential ideas/solutions prior to digging into the code. Put simply, a project specific Forum or Message Board! I have a feeling you may already be working on this (freeing up space in the main navigation for something), I think it would add a lot of value to an already valuable site... Thanks for your time, Andy --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "GitHub" group.
