Yeah, looks like Google Groups marked the address used by the hook an autoresponder.
According to the docs[1], Google Groups "limits the number of messages that a single user can post via email in a short period of time." Once that limit is met, the address is disabled and marked an 'autoresponder' system wide. I submitted a request to have the address unblocked and in reply, Google will "evaluate and, if approved, [...] re-enable [the] account within two business days." So, we'll see.
