Trans, You should look into grancher, http://judofyr.github.com/grancher/. It basically copies a folder to a git branch. I use it in my thor tasks to have a website subdirectory that syncs with the gh-pages branch: http://github.com/cldwalker/thor-tasks/blob/43fe7d7ddfd2bd17595c7665c635fb9dd3a0301a/gh_pages.thor/main.thor#L43-55 Ping me on ghub if you got any questions about it.
