Hey Jick, I've been encountering the same issues as well, have you been able to further your investigation as to why this is occurring? It happens to me daily, and not only when trying to access my github account, but to access github wiki's for other open source projects. I've started a support ticket and I'll wait to see what they say.
Just out of curiousity, what browser are you using to access github with? what o/s are you using?
