I noticed that.  The odd thing is that the wording is so close.  The
other message wasn't there when I originally posted, but I then saw it
after my post got approved.

As for my question, what has to be done to the .gitconfig file in my
home directory?  That is assuming changes can be made to the file to
allow multiple user identities to exist.
