Hi. I'm a newbie at least with Git. I want to tag a commit with 1.0.0-RC1 (version 1 release candidate 1) and then figure out how or what link is used to obtain that commit. I've seen where you lightweight tag the specific long string name for the commit but I have no clue how to obtain that tag. Can someone help? My goal is to determine the command or command and URL to place on my website for the public to obtain my version 1.0.0-RC1 tag.
