I read this article [ http://github.com/blog/642-smart-http-support ] that says I should be able to both clone/pull from my github repo and push over https. I need to be able to use http(s) because those are the only unblocked ports at work.
I was able to pull from github just fine, but after merging my changes, I get a 401 error when I try to do git push (after it asks me for my password). I'm using Git 1.7.1 on Arch Linux. Googling attempts haven't yielded any answers (note my problem is not the cert one that some people seemed to be getting). It seems really weird that I'd be able to do one operation and not the other, right? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "GitHub" group.
