We've never done a "get all the repo updates" follow. If you care about commits to a repo, you watch the repo. If you care about the things a user does (excluding commits), you follow the user. Following an org would probably be similar to following a user... you'd get messages when a repo is created in the org or a team is changed. But, as Kyle says, we're still a bit undecided on exactly how an org follow would work.
