for 'Fetch & Merge' --- git fetch <remote> => fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly ... >From other postings in this group, I have already attempted: a) eliminate firewall (Norton); turned off firewall and experienced same error b) re-installed msysgit (1.7.0.2), making sure OpenSSH was enabled; experienced same error I have successfully used 1) git clone <> and 2) git push origin master (providing pass phrase, so believe ssh is working) Looking for other suggestions to try.
