@serrislew Maybe max_stale_age is a complete upper bound, while the stale-if-error header comes from clients, so determination would just be min(SIE, max_stale_age) > current_stale_age -> return stale. This is similar to guaranteed max lifetime vs. max-age/s-max used in freshness calculations. Anyways just a thought, I know we've discussed trying to add SIE and SWR before, not saying it should be done in this PR either, just throwing out ideas. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
