Review Comment:
   No change: the LogObject constructor copies the format (`m_format =
std::make_unique<LogFormat>(*format)`) and uses the pointer only during
construction, so a stack LogFormat outlives every use.

Review Comment:
   Fixed in 27ac633eb4: the next midnight is now `local_time(3, 0, 0, 1)`, from
the calendar. Confirmed it mattered: with the clock set two days before DST
ended in America/Los_Angeles, the old version failed the second roll and the
new one passes.

Review Comment:
   Fixed in 27ac633eb4: make_daily_object() returns a
std::unique_ptr<LogObject>, so a failed REQUIRE still releases it and its file.
