@bryancall Thanks for the detailed review. Addressed the blocking non-UTF-8 issue in 8ef0c38. The post-processor now reads and writes with UTF-8 surrogateescape, preserves captured bytes, and safely wraps parsing errors without accessing e.msg. I added regression tests, documented the escaper’s guarantees, and corrected the response-verifier wording. All four new Python tests pass, and the JSON escaper tests pass in both signed- and unsigned-char modes (6 cases, 56 assertions each). I also verified compatibility with #13850 and ran both Python suites together successfully. Full ATS/AuTest and Proxy Verifier runs were not repeated on this Windows machine; CI results are still pending.
