Ok I have to ask. At the downloads page, did you see the link that points to [0]? It says: "For troubleshooting and configuration options please see the Omnibus GitLab readme" I'm asking because many users tend to miss this link. If that's the case we should make it more apparent, move it up or something. TL;DR You have installed the omnibus package but you used the commands for manual installations. Take 10 mins and read the README, you should be good to go.
