Hi !

I just subscribed to Gitorious and created a new project as part as a
migration plan for an already existing piece of software. Its code is
licenced under the WTFPL v2 licence, which is basically a public
domain-like licence (it is not possible to release work directly in
public domain in most of Europe AFAIK).

The WTFPL is obviously a FLOSS licence, with material shipped in the
major Linux distros and even recognized by the FSF as GPL-compatible,
but isn't approved by the OSI. I assume that there is a bunch of other
licences out there that are in the same case.

It is a bit silly, but in the choice of licences, there is no
possibility for such case, the closer being Public Domain, with the
problem that the defintion of PD varies depending on the country.

Wouldn't be possible to add a "Other FOSS Licence" entry, or replace
the current "Other OSI Approved licence" ?

Regards,

Simon Chopin
